FORT WAYNE, Ind.--The Fort Wayne Wizards broke a 2-2 tie with tworuns in the fifth inning and went on to complete a doubleheadersweep of the Dayton Dragons on Tuesday night, June 10, with a 4-2victory. The loss dropped the Dragons to 26-37.
Fort Wayne won the first game, 4-3, scoring with two outs in theseventh and final inning to break a 3-3 tie.
In game two, Fort Wayne took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on asolo home run by Andy Parrino, his fourth of the season.
The Dragons answered with two runs in the top of the fourth totake a brief lead. Logan Parker walked to start the inning and wentto second when Denis Phipps singled. After a sacrifice bunt byMichael McKennon advanced the runners to second and third, AngelCabrera hit a hard ground ball through the middle to drive in tworuns and make it 2-1. The Wizards tied the game in the bottom of thefourth on Parrino's run-scoring single to right. Then they took thelead in the fifth, taking advantage of a costly throwing error byDragons pitcher Luis Montano that led to two runs to jump ahead 4-2.
