The Rae Burick Women in Sports Award will be held today atFairmont High School's Trent Arena. Registration begins at 6 p.m.,followed by dinner at 6:45, the keynote speaker at 7:30 and theawards program at 8.
The award celebrates area high school girls who have excelled inathletics and demonstrated leadership qualities. A $1,500scholarship will be awarded to the Rae Burick winner and fourrunners-up will receive $500 scholarships. Rae Burick was the wifeof longtime former Dayton Daily News sports editor Si Burick.
